AMA FLAT TRACK NATIONAL HOT SHOE SERIES - OLD TIME NEWSIES - DAYTON, OH - June 3rd

Got to work the local AMA Flat Track Pro series race up at Montgomery County Fairgrounds On June 3rd. Went up to help out with the local Dayton Motorcycel Club that works the races and my friend Tom Keene from the club. Got up there about 4pm and got to walk around the infield pits and chat with the racers and owners. Met Nichole Cheza #16x is 450 and 750 pro expert classes, along with many other racers. Was neat experience being there for the racer/worker meeting. AMA officials are real nice guys and were great to work with. I worked the main gate from fence in front of grandstands that enters track to cross over to infield area, as gate keeper/bouncer. Didn't have any problems from anyone...my size helps. Practices and heats were fun to watch and the races got exciting. Joe Roeder #66, local racers from Monroeville, OH, won the Dash for Cash and Main event. Was pretty safe, had two major accidents that night, one guy went under the chain link fence with his bike and his helmet got stuck on fence and another guy hit the fence hard and took out his biek and himself from the main. Was an awesome race event and they will be back September 9th for the next round in Dayton, OH. THANKS TOM!!!
